Part III. Essay. 30 points
You will be given two-three essay topics. You will have to write a short essay (1 page) on one of them based on your knowledge of the French Revolution and Napoleonic rule. However, you will be required to use at least 2 documents from the following list: You will be given these documents during the test, however, you may not write on them during the tests and will be required to turn them in at the end of the period.
The topics will focus on the key themes of the French Revolution, Napoleonic empire, Romanticism in performing arts, music, and visual arts, as well as various expressions of nationalism (political movements (like the guerilla warfare in Russia and Spain), arts, etc).
